NGG Big Freeze Fundraiser Friday 30 May Nobbys Beach, Newcastle

As a proud Newy Granny Grommets, I’m taking part in this year's NGG Big Freeze to help fundraise for FightMND as some of our own have been affected by and/or living with motor neurone disease (MND).

The Newy Granny Grommets are a social community of women who boogie board each Friday morning at Nobbys Beach, Newcastle, and are committed to helping each other and others.

As a proud Newy Granny Grommet, I’m taking part in the NGG Big Freeze Fundraiser to help raise money for vital research into finding a cure for MND (Motor Neurone Disease).

Through this wonderful group, I’ve had the privilege of meeting two incredible women who joined us last year. Like everyone, they each have a story—but theirs is deeply intertwined with MND, as both of their husbands are battling this cruel disease.

So as a community group we want to do our part to help. The ice challenge is a small act compared to the daily challenges they all face living with MND, but every effort counts. If you’d like to donate or support me in my ice challenge, you can do so right here:
