I'm challenging 27 to fight MND
Hi there,
I’m taking part in FightMND’s Challenge 27 to honour my mum and help fight for a world free from MND.
Mum passed away from MND in September last year, just 9 months after her diagnosis. She was an incredibly loving woman, a devoted mum and a loving nan to her seven grandkids who absolutely adored her. It’s heartbreaking that they’ll grow up without her here, and I don’t want other families to go through the same.
Challenge 27 is a powerful reminder that the average life expectancy after an MND diagnosis is just 27 months, but for many, like my mum, it’s even less. I’m doing this to keep pushing for a cure so that other families don’t have to face what we did, so that kids don’t lose their grandparents, and people don’t lose the fight to this cruel disease.
