Top tips for organising
- Get help with organising
Let people know that you want to organise a DIY Big Freeze. You might be surprised how many people are willing to help. Whether it be selling socks and beanies, helping promote on social media or shopping for supplies. - Start planning and fundraising even if you don't have a date
Sometimes locking in a date can take time, but don't let it stop you from getting started with your planning. You can order merch and register your fundraiser without having locked in a date. Once it is locked in you can update your date online. - Check out our resources

Top tips for fundraising
- Make the first donation
Get things started by donating to your fundraiser. You'll lead by example, inspire others in your community and give people an amount to match. - Share your fundraising page far and wide
You're making a real difference in the fight against the Beast that is MND and should be proud. So shout about it loudly and often. The more often you share the details of your DIY - be it on social media, via email or in chat groups, the more people will get involved. - Auction off the privilege of tipping the ice bucket
If you are having an ice bucket challenge auction off the privilege of tipping the ice bucket. Or if you're doing multiple ice buckets charge each person who gets a turn. - Get the support of sponsors
Approach local businesses about sponsoring your DIY Big Freeze. You could ask them to donate items or make a direct donation to your fundraiser. In exchange they might ask for you to display their businesses logo at your DIY Big Freeze. Take a look at our template sponsorship letter to get you started.
