I'm challenging 27 to fight MND
Hi there,
This September I will be doing the fight MND challenge 27. The number 27 holds significant meaning in the world of MND. On average, individuals diagnosed with this cruel disease live for just 27 months. As most are aware my beautiful mum was diagnosed on the 12th January, 2023 with MND with symptoms for a couple of years before. She is now full time in a wheelchair, has a full time carer which is her incredible husband + carers throughout the day to help. No day is easy, but she’s a fighter. I’m not doing this just to raise funds to find a cure, it’s also about raising awareness of the precious time that people living with MND have. I’m going to challenge myself to walk 27 kilometres over 27 days, do 27 movements and 27 minutes of activity a day for the people that are going through this horrible disease and for the families that are going through it too.
