I'm challenging 27 to fight MND

Hi friends,

This September I’m taking part in FightMND’s Challenge 27 — pushing myself to reach my wellness goals while also standing up to the Beast that is motor neurone disease (MND).

Challenge 27 is a powerful reminder that the average life expectancy for someone diagnosed with MND is just 27 months.

If you’re able, I’d love your support. Every donation, big or small, goes directly towards FightMND’s mission to find effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure. 💙

Your support means the world to me — thank you! 🙏

From tears to cheers 🎉 thank you

Friday 22nd Aug
I actually cried today 🥹 when a friend told me to look at how much I’ve already raised for MND. Honestly, I thought I’d be begging my family just to get a little help, but wow… only two days in and I’m already halfway to my goal! 💙

I start on the 1st of September — 27 days of walking ahead of me 🚶‍♀️ and I’ll definitely need everyone’s encouragement to keep me getting up and moving each day.

At this rate, I might even reach my goal before I start! 🥳 I’m so grateful for every single donation — thank you for believing in this cause and supporting me. Together, we’re making a real difference. 💙

And hey… if you haven’t jumped on board yet, now’s your chance! Let’s smash this goal before day one even begins! 🚀💙

Nat was my maid of honour at my wedding many many years ago 😁 And I was so happy when she asked me to be hers 💕

My 27 challenge

Friday 22nd Aug
My personal goal for the MND 27 Challenge in September is to walk every single day for 27 days in a row.

Many of you know I live with anxiety and depression, but what most don’t see is just how tough it can get. Mornings are the hardest for me—I often struggle just to get out of bed, especially in winter. Since Nat passed away, it’s been even harder, and most days I find myself still in bed at lunchtime. The hiking and walking I love so much has almost disappeared from my life.

That’s why this Challenge means so much to me. It’s not only about raising funds for an incredible cause, but also about finding my way back to the one thing that helps me cope and heal—being outside, walking, and moving forward. I know Nat wouldn’t want me stuck in this slump, and I want to honour her by doing something that makes a difference.

If you can, please support me by donating to my Challenge 27. Together, we can fight back against MND and bring hope to those who need it most. 💙
