I'm challenging 27 to fight MND
Hi All,
I'm taking part in FightMND's Challenge 27 to challenge not just my wellness & fitness goals, but also the Beast and be part of the fight towards a world free from Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Challenge 27 is a powerful reminder that the average life expectancy for someone diagnosed with MND is just 27 months. It is a devastating disease whereby all muscle movements in the body are progressively destroyed eventually being fatal. I lost a friend at the age of 44 to MND following 2 years after diagnosis.
If you can, please support me by donating to my page. Every dollar counts, and all funds raised go to support FightMND’s mission to find a cure for motor neurone disease.
Your support means a lot to me!

MND Confrontation
Sunday 20th Jul Some years back now our battle with MND occurred. At this time my wife & I owned a caravan park in central Victoria. John, one of our long term clients who we soon became friends with was about 15 months post an MND diagnosis. He still had mobility in his legs able to walk OK. But he had lost substantial use of his lower arms, hands & fingers. This meant his daily hygiene & micro chores were severely hampered. My wife & I cared for him in this area for some months. MND fairly quickly robbed him of walking & lower limbs activity as well as the ability to talk. John lost his battle 2 years after diagnosis at the age of 44. We learnt a lot about this insidious disease in a relatively short time. I lost my wife just under 4 years ago now to COPD also a debilitating & terminal lung disease. We need to work hard on both conditions to give sufferers a better life expectancy, very pleased that I can assist in the fight against MND.
