I am fundraising for FightMND!
This year, I will be attempting to climb the Eiger in the Swiss Alps. IT is characteristic for its North Face, one attempted by many alpinists and mountaineers alike. Some could achieve it, some could not. This is the route I will not be attempting.
Instead, Sabina and I will aim to reach the summit via the Mittellegi ridge over the course of 2 days. This ridge is far more tolerable for beginners such as ourselves.
More importantly, I am doing this for my dear friend Michael and his family who sadly lost their father Nick this year to Motor Neurone Disease. MND is a degenerative disease which slowly affects and destroys your motor nerves. It eventually takes the life of the patient suffering from it.
As of yet, the cause is unknown, and medical professionals do not know how to prevent or to cure it. This is why funding for research is so important.
Today, I'm asking you to help me put funding into this research to find a cure for MND.
