I’m fundraising for FightMND

This cause is deeply personal to our family. I’m a proud dad to a crazy son at Northern Nursery and not long ago, I was a healthy 35-year-old — training for a marathon and chasing the kids around the backyard. Then, I was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). It has changed our lives, but it hasn’t touched our spirit. With the love and strength of my incredible wife and children, we are choosing to fight. We are choosing hope. And we’re so grateful to have the Northern Nursery community standing beside us.

I am incredibly proud that Northern Nursery, believe in standing up for those who can’t always stand for themselves and this year, they are proudly supporting FightMND in their battle against Motor Neurone Disease.

MND is a cruel and relentless disease that gradually takes away a person’s ability to walk, talk, eat, and breathe but not their mind or their memories. Right now, there is no cure. But there is research. There is progress. And most importantly, there are people like the Northern Nursery community that believes we can make a difference.

This fundraiser is about more than wearing beanies, it’s about showing our children what courage, compassion, and community truly look like. It’s about teaching them that even the smallest voices can make a mighty difference when they speak up for what matters.

Every dollar raised helps fund vital research to find treatments and, one day, a cure. Let’s rally together, make some noise, and freeze our bits off for a future without MND.
