Why I am fundraising
"Hello my name is Mia and I fundraise for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in memory of my mum, who lost her battle to MND just two weeks after last year’s Big Freeze. She was only 61—an active, vibrant person who loved life. Watching her slowly deteriorate was devastating for our family. MND robbed her of everything, and life has not been the same since.
At a time when I couldn’t help my mum, fundraising became my way of coping. I couldn't save her, but I can raise money for research—so that one day, no one else has to go through what she did. Every donation brings us closer to a cure, and together, we can make a difference."
