This event is deeply personal to me.

My mum has Motor Neurone Disease (MND), a devastating illness that gradually takes away a person's ability to move, speak, and live independently. 

Before MND, Mum was always active, adventurous, and happiest on two wheels. Cycling has been a huge part of her life, and thanks to her, it has become a huge part of mine as well.

To honour my love for my Mum and our combined love of bikes, on September 5th we're aiming to send as many bikes into the air as possible while raising vital funds for FightMND and helping beat the beast that is Motor Neurone Disease.

Mum has spent her life helping others living with disability, and now it's our turn to help her. She is the strongest fighter I know. Despite everything MND has thrown at her, she has never given up. Her determination, resilience, and courage inspire everyone around her every day. At Jump for MND, I'll be riding to help continue the fight against MND.

With the incredible support of the CORCA Mountain Bike Group, we're hosting Jump for MND — a mountain bike jump jam at the Sugar Bag Mountain Bike Trails on the Sunshine Coast, taking place on the iconic Aero jump line. From 1:00pm to 4:00pm, riders, families, and the wider community will come together to raise both funds and awareness for MND.

This event is about more than bikes. It's about standing beside those living with MND, honouring their strength, and helping fund vital research, care, and support services for affected families.

Every rider, every jump, and every donation will make a difference. While there is currently no cure for MND, we refuse to give up hope. Mum has never given up in her fight against this disease, and we will never give up fighting for a cure. Together, we can help fund the research that brings us closer to that day while supporting those facing the challenges of MND right now.

Many of us have been affected by MND through family, friends, or people in our community. If you know someone living with the disease, or have lost someone to it, this event is for them too. We invite you to ride, jump, donate, or simply show your support in their honour.
