I’m fundraising for FightMND
On June 28th at the conclusion to our home game the SWS U13 div3 team is taking part in this year's DIY Big Freeze to fundraise & help FightMND beat the Beast that is motor neurone disease (MND).
MND is a progressive disease that gradually takes away a person’s use of their arms and legs, their ability to eat and swallow, their speech and ultimately, their ability to breathe... all in an average timeframe of just 27 months. Please help us by donating through our page.
It only takes a minute, and any money you can give will go to improving care for people living with MND, funding research into more effective treatments, and eventually, finding a cure.
My family has been heavily affected by MND with over 30 people passing away with MND. My Auntie & Uncle were the closest members to me, on top of that my grandfather and many other family members is never had the opportunity to meet. My Auntie was diagnosed in approx October 2016 and 24 months later we lost her after a long hard fight. My uncle was diagnosed in approx January 2022 and passed away in 2023 after entering MND trials over in Belgium to no avail.
My aim is to raise awareness and funds to continue the fight and research against this awful disease the best I can and continued to fight for my family!
The more we raise the more ice added.to the buckets to dunk over our coaches - so please donate what you can!
Thank you, we really appreciate your support. Together we can defeat the Beast.
