U13 DIV3 coaches take on the Big Freeze

What an amazing day today was. I set myself a goal and didnt expect to achieve it - but we did! Thank you to everyone who donated directly on the fundraising page, came to the SWS Canteen and purchased a MND chocolate or Blue MND gatorade, or made a cash donation. I cant wait to share our final amount raised! 

We're fundraising for FightMND

On June 28th at the conclusion to our home game the U13 div 3 team is taking part in this year's DIY Big Freeze to fundraise & help FightMND beat the Beast that is motor neurone disease (MND).

MND is a progressive disease that gradually takes away a person’s use of their arms and legs, their ability to eat and swallow, their speech and ultimately, their ability to breathe... all in an average timeframe of just 27 months. Please help us by donating through our page.

It only takes a minute, and any money you can give will go to improving care for people living with MND, funding research into more effective treatments, and eventually, finding a cure.

My family has been heavily affected by MND with over 32 people passing away with MND. My Auntie & Uncle were the closest members to me, on top of that my grandfather and many other family members is never had the opportunity to meet. My Auntie was diagnosed in October 2016 and 24 months later we lost her. My uncle diagnosed in February 2022 and passed away in 2023. None of them have exceeded to reach 55 years old.

My aim is to raise awareness and funds to continue the fight and research against this awful disease.
