I’m fundraising for FightMND
Hi there,
I am taking the plunge this DIY Big Freeze 10 to fundraise towards vital funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
As many of you know 16 years ago my Mum died of MND just 6 months after being diagnosed. The average life expectancy is 27 months. There is still no cure and no effective treatment, for now this diagnosis remains a death sentence. Each day 2 people in Australia die from MND and two more are diagnosed
Fight MND and the big freeze campaign have been raising funds and awareness for the past 10 years but there's so much more research to be done to find a cure and beat this beast
This year I'm playing my part in supporting this worthy cause. I will take a plunge into the Indian Ocean at sunset on the 15th June, Mum's birthday, she so loved her sunsets !
