I am fundraising for FightMND!
Hi friends and family,
In August 2024, my dad (Les) was diagnosed with MND, unfortunately it took hold of his life at a rapid pace and on the 18th of February 2025 he lost his fight to the Beast.
I've decided to raise vital funds to support FightMND as I have seen firsthand what this Foundation does not only for my Dad but the after support to family.
The average life expectancy of someone diagnosed with MND is just 27 months but for Dad it was only 6 months.
This is an awful debilitating disease not only for the person affected but also for family and friends to watch how this Beast takes a hold.
I will be hosting a Big Freeze Bucket challenge on the 4th of June at the Yallourn Power Station, where my colleague Michelle (a Melbourne Supporter) will happily pour a bucket of ice over my head. James Stevenson - the Head of Yallourn has also offered to the highest bidder the glory of upending a bucket on his head to assist with the fund-raising.
Could you please support me by donating to fund vital research, effective treatments and ultimately a cure for MND.
