Pitcher Partners – Doing it for Waz!

This September, the Corporate Finance team invites you all to join us in completing Challenge 27, a chance to get active, raise funds and help FightMND work towards a world free of motor neurone disease (MND).

In Honour of Warren Galgut 

Warren, or Waz, was a much-loved member of the Corporate Finance Team. He loved his family – his partner Emma and kids, Oliver and Amelia, keeping fit – especially riding his bike, travelling, caring for his plants and his cats.  We will always remember his very serious “manager” group emails, his love of cottage cheese on toast for breakfast, and his obsession with Nandos!   

In September 2021 Warren was diagnosed and in April 2023 succumbed to motor neurone disease (MND) at just 44. Warren faced this challenge head on and spear-headed numerous initiatives to raise money for Fight MND.  In typical Warren style, he attacked this fight with raw honesty and looked for any angle he could find to bring humour to an otherwise devastating situation. 

His bravery, honesty and humour, even through the worst of MND, was incredible.  His values are something we can all aspire to uphold.
