2025 DIY Big Freeze

TGC fundraising for FightMND

This year, The Geelong College Senior School community is proudly taking part in the Big Freeze to raise funds for FightMND and help beat the Beast that is motor neurone disease (MND).

MND is a progressive and devastating disease that gradually takes away a person’s ability to use their arms and legs, to eat and swallow, to speak, and eventually, to breathe — often within just 27 months of diagnosis.

Our students and staff are stepping up, quite literally, to be part of the fight. By taking the icy plunge, we are raising both awareness and vital funds to support those living with MND, to invest in research for more effective treatments, and to work towards finding a cure.

We invite our wider community to support this effort. Every donation — no matter the size — will make a real difference.

It only takes a moment to contribute, and your generosity will help us take one step closer to defeating this cruel disease.

Together we can defeat the Beast.
