I am fundraising for FightMND!
I've never been a runner. In fact, I still don't love it.
But in 2024, when my mum died from MND, I wanted to do something that felt genuinely hard in her honour. Something physical - a way of acknowledging the extraordinary privilege of having a body that can still carry me forward, when that was so cruelly taken from her.
Last year I ran my first half marathon, then a 27 kilometre challenge for FightMND. This year I'm taking it up several notches: 42.2 kilometres at the Gold Coast Marathon on July 5th.
Progress is happening in this space because people keep funding the research and refusing to look away. So I've decided to turn this personal challenge into a fundraiser.
