I am fundraising for FightMND!

Hello,


I’m raising vital funds for FightMND while training for and competing in IRONMAN Port Macquarie my third full IRONMAN.


Recently, my father was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). Like so many families affected by MND, we are now experiencing firsthand just how devastating this disease can be, not only for the person diagnosed, but for their family, friends and everyone around them.


I’ve completed two IRONMANs before, but this one will mean something very different.


Over the coming weeks, I’ll be putting in the kilometres in the pool, on the bike and on the run, before taking on the 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run at IRONMAN Port Macquarie.


This time, I want every kilometre to stand for something bigger. I’m raising funds not only in support of my dad, but for every person and every family facing MND, those living with it today, those who have lost someone to it, and those who may face it in the future.


My goal is to help fund vital research, better treatments and ultimately, a cure for this devastating disease.
