Steve completed his final, most arduous journey on Thursday August 27th. The toughest trek of his life.
He has been training for the past 30 months. By foot, by bike, by trike, and by wheelchair. Always mobile, always striving for the next milestone and never letting anything get in his way - until he had absolutely nothing left in the tank.
After a courageous fight with MND, Steve crossed the finish line peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. So sad and also such a privilege.

Hi Cate, such sad news. Steve was a fighter the whole way. We loved the moments we had together at Hinchinbrook Island, Dunbogan, Newcastle and Melbourne. He was inspiring and gentle and will be much missed. We were out sea-kayaking today on a beautiful Spring day on gorgeous azure seas when we received your message and we reminisced about our time with you and Steve as we paddled around cliffs and over sea-grasses the most beautiful emerald green and we thought how Steve would love this beautiful place.
