2026 DANIHER'S DRIVE

We’ve decided to join the Daniher’s Drive for MND again this year. Since last year even, it seems like there are more and more people we know being diagnosed with the death knell that is MND.  So for us it’s important that we try to help as best we can.  I know since Crack’s death my kids can be thrown into a silent tailspin with some pins and needles or an ache in their hands or feet… ‘is this MND? Is this how it started for Dad?’ I don’t want that for them and I wish I could take it away but I can’t and as a mum that’s hard.  If doing this fundraising each year is how I can try to save anyone else from having to suffer all the indignities that go along with a diagnosis of MND, I will.  Last year our fundraising was off the charts thanks to our amazing communities.. YOU.. and we are, as always, so grateful. But times are hard and uncertain so we will just be holding the 3 fundraisers this year thanks to the crazy golfers in Temora who just play in ANY weather lol, the socially excited and hilarious fun Temora Bowling club bowlers and another fun filled tricky and hopefully Marto inspired trivia night (commitments allowing).  In thinking about difficult times, last year we had around 600 people following our Old Cracker’s page ( it really should be the Crazy and Bloody Loud Old Crackers lol) and instead of asking people for large amounts of money, I wondered if all our followers could manage just $5 or $10 each, we’d could raise an amazing amount quite simply.  We would also like to ask, and this isn’t just during the drive times but ALL the time… if you or anyone who know is being affected by MND (or to be honest any terminal or difficult illness) and you need someone to come and have a cuppa and a talk, we’re here for you.  Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with either Jacinta, Wendy or myself.. we all have messenger.. and we can try to be of whatever support we can.
