Sliding into the Bairnsdale Big Freeze event isn't just about braving the icy waters for me—it's a personal mission stemming from my own experience. Witnessing my father-in-law's battle (and many others) with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), I've seen the devastation it inflicts on families firsthand. MND is relentless, robbing individuals of their mobility, independence, and ultimately, their lives. With around 2 people losing their lives to this cruel disease each day in Australia alone, it's clear that urgent action is needed. But amidst the cold waters of the Big Freeze, there's hope—a belief that somewhere out there lies a cure waiting to be discovered. By taking this plunge, I'm not just raising awareness; I'm fighting for a future where MND is no longer a threat, where families no longer have to endure its heartbreak. Join me in the fight against MND—because together, we can make a difference! Help me raise $5,000 and blow a punch to the beast.
