About Run4Rossy

Run4Rossy began as a way to support Chris "Rossy" Ross after his motor neurone disease (MND) diagnosis at 31. Created by his friends Josh and Josh, it has grown into a significant cause for the MND community.

We lost Chris on August 23, 2023, but his fight continues. Chris' legacy drives us to raise funds for research into MND cure & care initatives, aiming to fulfill his dream of raising over one million dollars.

Thank you to the Run4Rossy community for keeping Chris' legacy alive. We are committed to Run4Rossy and beating the Beast.

About FightMND

FightMND was established in 2014 by Neale Daniher AO, Pat Cunningham and the late Dr Ian Davis. We are a founder-led organisation with a vision of a world free from motor neurone disease (MND).  

FightMND works to raise awareness and fund vital research to improve the quality of life and find treatments and, one day, a cure for those living with MND. Our investment has helped transform Australia into a central hub for MND research.  

With this investment: 

• More than 600 Australians have accessed clinical trials supported by FightMND. 

• Fifteen clinical trials have been funded at sites across Australia. 

• Thirty-four drug development grants have advanced potential treatments through the drug development pipeline. 

• Twenty-nine researchers have received scholarships and fellowships to support their career progress in MND research. 

• Work has begun on developing Australia’s first national clinical care guidelines for MND. 

In 2025, FightMND introduced the Chris Ross MND Research Grant. Awarded in consultation with the Run4Rossy Committee, this new grant supports research projects focused on enhancing the care and quality of life for people living with MND, honouring Chris Ross’ legacy and the incredible community effort he inspired.
