Hi there,

I am raising vital funds to support FightMND and help beat the Beast that is Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

The average life expectancy of someone diagnosed with MND is just 27 months.

Why you ask? - Thanks for asking.

When I was 12, I met someone from a different school on my year 7 orientation day. He made me laugh so hard I forgot my nerves and made my first friend. 

Fast forward, he’s been my friend through some of the best and worst moments in life. Big milestones and lazy Friday nights in for some laughs with a few close peeps. 

HE fights this beast. He fights it with strength and gritted teeth to do as much as he can while he can so other people and families someday won’t have to. 

He inspires me, so much so it makes me want to run. (And I’ve never been good at it) Run with him. Run for him and his family and to Run for all who can’t. I want to help, to make a difference. Please help me do that!!

Holy heck! 4.5 weeks to go!

WOW! Training started 15 weeks ago and it’s a mere 4.5 til the big dance! Eeek we close now fam. 
I have been totally humbled by the support, donations and words of encouragement from all of you. You have really been helping me stay accountable and remember what it’s all for. 
Back in July, I sent Jason a video message while out in my first little 5k trot training run. That was when I told him my plan. Maybe I hadn’t mentioned it any earlier in case I bitched it and didn’t go ahead (being a non runner to start with, this all felt a bit unachievable). That’s when it all became real. 😳 I knew that I would NOT let him down. 
I enlisted a run coach, a world champion coach to help me attain a runners body and fuel myself adequately and I began this fundraising effort. 
Fast forward through many hours of grind here we are at $1511 raised and ONLY $489 to hit my ambitious $2k goal. I KNOW WE CAN DO IT! If you have anyone to share the link with… please “send it” so we can make the finish line that much sweeter and Fight MND can keep working to change the future of all those who are diagnosed with this Effing A-hole of a disease.
