Sorell School Big Freeze

We're participating in this year's DIY Big Freeze

Sorell School Big Freeze for MND!

We are taking part in this year's DIY Big Freeze to fundraise to help FightMND beat the Beast that is motor neurone disease (MND).

MND is a progressive disease that gradually takes away a person’s use of their arms and legs, their ability to eat and swallow, their speech and ultimately, their ability to breathe... all in an average timeframe of just 27 months. Please help us by donating through our page.

It only takes a minute, and any money you can give will go to improving care for people living with MND, funding research into more effective treatments, and eventually, finding a cure.

Flannie & Beanie Day for MND – Friday 10 July

On the last day of Term 2, Friday 10 July, Sorell School will once again be supporting Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research and awareness through our annual Flannie & Beanie Day.

Students are encouraged to wear a blue outfit, flannelette shirt, or beanie and bring along a gold coin donation to help raise funds for this important cause.

Throughout the day, students will also be able to purchase a range of blue-themed treats, including cupcakes, biscuits and jelly cups, with prices ranging from $1–$3. All proceeds will go directly towards our MND fundraising efforts.

The excitement will continue at 2:00pm on the MDT Courts, where students and staff will gather around the dunk tank to see which brave staff members will take the plunge! Each staff "dunkee" will choose their own theme song and costume, adding to the fun and entertainment of the afternoon.

Every donation, big or small, helps support people living with MND and contributes to vital research into finding a cure.

Please join us in making a difference by donating and helping us turn the school blue for MND.

Wear blue. Bring a gold coin. Enjoy a treat. Make a splash for MND! 💙🧊💦

Thank you, we really appreciate your support. Together we can defeat the Beast.
