Sharks Fitness Frenzy for MND

We're participating in this year's DIY Big Freeze

We're fundraising for FightMND

Our club’s junior competition players and sharks wider rugby league community are coming together to proudly take part in this year’s DIY Big Freeze to help raise funds and awareness for FightMND in the battle against the Beast – motor neurone disease (MND).

Thanks to the support of Smiths Fitness, our players will be hitting the gym and the road and taking on an incredible challenge: completing either a 27 kilometres  run, cycle , row, or a combination of all three over a 10-12-hour period. The challenge represents the heartbreaking reality that people diagnosed with MND have an average life expectancy of just 27 months.

MND is a progressive and devastating disease that gradually takes away a person’s ability to use their arms and legs, eat and swallow, speak, and ultimately breathe. There is currently no cure.

We are asking for your support to help make a difference. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help improve care for people living with MND, fund vital research into more effective treatments, and bring us closer to finding a cure.

Donating only takes a minute, and your contribution will have a lasting impact on those affected by this terrible disease.

Thank you for your generosity and support. Together, we can raise awareness, support those living with MND, and help defeat the Beast.
