We're fundraising for FightMND
We are taking part in this year's DIY Big Freeze to fundraise to help FightMND beat the Beast that is motor neurone disease (MND).
Much loved & respected racing personality Marty Miles is bravely battling the beast that is MND with his family by his side. To watch our friends body betray him despite his sharp wit is heart wrenching. While we can't cure this cruel disease we can help raise funds to fight it. His horse Lovin' Laughs as brave as Marty will race in the Fight MND racing silks Thursday Night at Southside Racing Pakenham 15/5. We are hoping that the racing community and wider can reach into their pockets no matter how small or large can help us in the fight for a cure by donating to our fundraiser. There will be an ice bucket challenge during the night and some fun to be had in any effort to raise funds.
MND is a progressive disease that gradually takes away a person’s use of their arms and legs, their ability to eat and swallow, their speech and ultimately, their ability to breathe.… all in an average timeframe of just 27 months. Please help us by donating through our page.
It only takes a minute, and any money you can give will go to improving care for people living with MND, funding research into more effective treatments, and eventually, finding a cure.
