We're fundraising for FightMND
Houghton Districts Football Club is taking part in Big Freeze 2025 to fundraise to help FightMND beat the Beast that is motor neurone disease (MND).
MND is a progressive disease that gradually takes away a person’s use of their arms and legs, their ability to eat and swallow, their speech and ultimately, their ability to breathe all in an average timeframe of just 27 months.
It only takes a minute and any money you can give will go to improving care for people living with MND, fund research into more effective treatments, and eventually, find a cure.
This year we are setting up a slide for senior players/coaches/supporters to go down to raise money to fight MND. There is a $30 nomination to nominate someone to dress up and go down the slide. Once you’ve paid contact Ailish Marschall via DM if you are the slider or the person you’ve nominated.
