Freeze a Teacher: Big Freeze 2026
Why we're doing it
Big Freeze is one of Australia's best-known fundraisers, raising money for FightMND and research into Motor Neurone Disease. It was co-founded by AFL legend Neale Daniher, who was diagnosed with MND in 2013 and became one of the country's most recognised advocates for people living with the disease. Neale passed away in May this year, and this is the first Big Freeze since his passing, making the cause more meaningful than ever.
At St Michael's, our Prefect Team is running our own version of Big Freeze. For every $1,000 we raise, another group of staff members gets "unlocked," meaning they'll have a bucket of ice water tipped over them on Coleman Walk at lunchtime. Reach $5,000 and all of the teachers below get frozen!
