I’m fundraising for FightMND
Hi there,
My name is Mat Horan and I am helping to raise vital funds to support Fight MND and help beat the Beast that is Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
I am sliding this year in the Big Freeze Geelong #5 for my best mate, John Lee, who has been struck down by this horrible disease. John amazes me about how upbeat and brave he remains while living with MND while being supported by Michelle his wife their kids and his family. Despite everything he is going through, he is determined to beat last year’s fundraising target, support this incredible event and raise awareness of MND within the community. John wants to help others by raising funds to support vital research, in the hope that a breakthrough can be achieved. His goal is simple but powerful that future sufferers won’t have to endure what he has, and that sufferers and their families facing MND have real hope. A cure may not come tomorrow, but what we can do right now is support the scientists and researchers working tirelessly toward that medical breakthrough for treatments that slow progression, prolong life and most of all bring hope!
We would love you all to support John by donating to this platform, along with joining in with the local community by watching me slide into the icy waters on Sunday May 31st at Elderslie Reserve, Newtown, just before the Newtown Chilwell vs Sth Barwon blockbuster GFNL match.
