Gunnedah Rugby Club

I’m participating in this year's DIY Big Freeze

For Hobbo. For hope. For everyone fighting MND.

Today, we play for more than just the game.

A few years ago, our mate Ronald "Hobbo" Hobden was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Since then, Hobbo's fight has become our fight.

Today, we take the field for Hobbo, for his family, and for everyone impacted by this cruel disease. We also play for those who no longer have the opportunity to pull on a jersey, run onto the paddock, and do what they love.

MND gradually takes away a person's ability to move, speak, eat and breathe, with an average life expectancy of just 27 months following diagnosis.

As a club, we're proud to once again support FightMND and help raise vital funds for research, treatments and ultimately a cure. The Gunnedah Rugby Club first started its MND Round after Hobbo's diagnosis, helping raise awareness and support for those affected by the disease.

If you're able, please support our fundraiser.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us take another step towards beating the Beast.

For Hobbo. For hope. For everyone fighting MND.
