I’m fundraising for FightMND
I am taking part in this year's DIY Big Freeze to fundraise to help FightMND & beat the Beast that is motor neurone disease (MND)
MND has been an unwelcome familiar story in the lives of people close to me since my mid teens. My Nanna ( Alma also known fondly to many as Mick) found out in her early 70s she had MND ( a very unknown disease at the time)
When my kids were at kinder and early primary school their Pa & Shauns Dad was diagnosed in his late 60s with MND.
Now a very dear friend in her mid 40s as well as family of many friends we have had over the years have had to endure the consequences of MND.
MND is a progressive disease that gradually takes away a person’s use of their arms and legs, their ability to eat and swallow, their speech and ultimately, their ability to breathe... all in an average timeframe of just 27 months.
The least I can do is be dunked in ice cold water for a few minutes. I would love your help by please donating any amount you can afford through my page.
It only takes a minute and any money you can give will go to improving care for people living with MND, fund research into more effective treatments, and eventually, find a cure not only for MND but hopefully other similar diseases.
