This year, Daniher’s Drive participants can pay tribute to someone special by ordering a personalised car decal. Choose from “I’m driving for...” or “In memory of...” and carry their name with you throughout the journey. It’s a meaningful way to honour a loved one affected by MND and share their story on the road.

All orders must be submitted by the 8th August to ensure production and delivery in time for the Drive. (Please note there is no additional cost for this)

Nealo says ‘’have fun while raising funds” so that is what we did. Our 8th annual Coolkids Trivia Night was held at Welcome to Thornbury on Friday 27th June. We were thrilled to welcome 250 guests, our biggest turnout yet.

With the legendary Scotty leading the trivia and the unwavering support of our amazing friends and family we managed to raise a grand total of $22,919!

Each year, this event continues to grow thanks to the generosity and support of everyone involved.

We are so proud to be a part of Drive family and are looking forward to seeing you all in
October.

Team Spotlight: The 1000's Trivia Night

expand_more expand_less

We had planned a different fundraising event each year for the drive, Bogan Bingo, our own Big Freeze, the sight of JD in a green mankini will forever haunt those that attended, then along came the trivia night.  We booked a company in sight unseen and thought let’s give an old fashion trivia night a go, boy did we have that wrong! Yes, there were trivia questions but the novelty of answering on buzzes so that there was a live scoring on the big screen created a very competitive room! Throw in crazy games, lots of music and a great night was had by all and some good money raised through auctions and raffles.  We patted ourselves on the back and started thinking about what event we would hold the next year.

When the time came and we were throwing around different ideas, the calls and messages started – when is the trivia night?  Could we do it again we wondered, easy to plan as we had all the info from the previous year.  So we did, once word got out, we sold out 150 tickets in one week – we were wrapped, another loud rowdy night was had with even more money raised.  The trivia company, QuizzaMe are amazing, they throw in bingo games, horse races, dance offs all that help raise funds and create noise levels that sounds more like a rock concert than a trivia night.  At the end of the night, we had people asking if they could book for the following year and trying to throw money at us so they wouldn’t miss out!

It has now become an annual event with people asking from the start of the year if they can book tables, for a bit of a laugh this year we started the hype as to when tickets would go on sale and decided we were confident enough to go up in numbers to a max of 190.  Come the morning the tickets went on sale were 50% sold out in 10 minutes with the remainder all gone within 48 hours – move over Coldplay!  We have 190 tickets sold with a waiting list if anyone pulls out! Do we get a bigger venue for next year is now the question or do we keep it at this manageable level were there is an anticipation for those coming and FOMO for those that weren’t quick enough!

Sometimes the old fashion fundraisers (with a number of modern twists) turn out to be the best ones!
